ABOUT THE CADET PROGRAM & FOREVER A WARRIOR WORKSHOP

This program is to support youth ages 16 - 18 years of age who are actively participating in such programs as JROTC, CAPS, Young Marines, Sea Cadets, Fire Rescue Cadets, Police Youth Academy and other organizations related to Military, Firefighting & Law Enforcement.

It's purpose is to bring about a higher self-awareness and self-esteem in support of a healthier self both mentally and physically. To promote healing and balance in the mind, body and spirit while utilizing time honored wisdom with tools & techniques to provide insightful education to inspire the mind as well as teaching holistic modalities for the body.

Workshop dates and times in FEBRUARY 2025:

 

Friday the 21st:  7:00pm - 8:30pm - Meet & Greet with Cadet & Parent or Legal Guardian

Food & drinks will be served and program expectations covered along with a few "get to know you" activities conducted. Crucial paperwork will need to be signed. ***IMPORTANT: Each Cadet must have at least 1 Parent or Legal Guardian to attend but they can have up to two adults (Parent or Legal Guardian) attend this kickoff event.

Saturday the 22nd: 9:00am - 4:30pm - All day Cadet workshop (7.5 hours)

Lunch will be provided and snacks & drinks available throughout the day. The Cadet will be expected to participate fully in all workshop activities which will also include thought provoking educational class work.

Sunday the 23rd: 12:00pm - 7:30pm - All afternoon/evening Cadet workshop (7.5 hours)

Snacks & drinks available throughout the day. The Cadet will be expected to participate fully in all workshop activities which will again include thought provoking educational class work. ***IMPORTANT: Each Cadet must have at least 1 Parent or Legal Guardian to attend the dinner and graduation ceremony but they can have up to two adults (Parent or Legal Guardian) attend. Dinner will served promptly at 5pm. 

 

Activities will include, but not limited to the following:   Fire & Glass Walking, Board & Arrow Breaking, Exploring Limiting Beliefs, Communication & Personality Styles, Growth Mindset, Mindfulness and Guided Meditation, Breath Work and other Holistic Modalities.

This is a full participation workshop! Please read expectations completely before submitting a Cadet nomination. Nomination does not guarantee Cadet acceptance into program.

This workshop is at no cost to the participant.

EXPECTATIONS:  A parent or legal guardian will be required to attend the Meet & Greet on Friday night from 7:00pm until 8:30pm. Workshop expectations of Cadet participation and workshop content will be covered. Additionally paperwork such as participation and liability waivers will need to be signed. There will be food & drinks served along with a few activities to kick off this exciting weekend workshop.

Cadets must be committed to arrive on time and to fully participate in all activities. We strongly urge Cadets to arrive between 10 and 30 minutes prior to start time.

​

A parent or legal guardian will also be required to attend the Graduation Dinner and Ceremony on Sunday evening where their Cadet will be fire-walking prior to completing the workshop events and graduating from the FAW Cadet Program.
